1. General
  1. Investec Travel facilitates transactions between you and travel service providers such as airlines, hotels, car hire companies, tour operators, cruise companies, rail operators, visa service companies, travel insurance companies and foreign exchange operators (“Suppliers”) and enables you to purchase products and services and any associated benefits from such Suppliers (Supplier Products”).
  2. These terms and conditions (Terms and Conditions”) form the entire agreement between you and Investec Travel regarding your purchase of Supplier Products as facilitated by Investec Travel.
  3. In purchasing Supplier Products you will also be bound by the relevant Supplier’s service terms (Supplier Service Terms”). The Supplier Service Terms can be found on the relevant Supplier’s website and/ or on the booking confirmation sheet and travel documentation provided to you by us. The Supplier’s Service Terms are subject to change by the relevant Supplier at any time without notice.
  4. When making a booking on the Investec Travel website (Website”) you will be billed by the relevant Supplier in respect of the Supplier Products purchased, as well as by Investec Travel in respect of Investec Travel’s fees and charges as applicable.
  5. Investec Travel is entitled to retain and/or be paid a brokerage, commission, fees allowance and other remunerations from Suppliers.
  6. These Terms and Conditions are subject to change upon reasonable notice to you. All Supplier Products are subject to availability and may be withdrawn by the Supplier without notice.
  7. Investec Travel is not responsible for any losses related to the offer, fulfilment or use by you of the Supplier Products.
  8. These Terms and Conditions will be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
2. Engaging with Investec Travel
  1. The Investec Travel Website
    1. You are able to view and purchase certain Supplier Products on the Website which can be accessed through Investec online banking, the banking app or by visiting investectravel.com.
    2. We reserve the right to correct any pricing errors displayed on the Website.
    3. If you are booking and purchasing airline tickets and you or your travel companion/s have a medical condition or any special requirements, such as the need for a wheelchair, you must contact an Investec Travel consultant on the same day that your online booking through the Website has been confirmed so that we can request the required assistance on your behalf. For further information concerning this please refer to the relevant Supplier Service Terms. Certain airlines require at least 72 hours’ notice to confirm special requirements.
    4. All content relating to Supplier Products advertised on our Website is sourced from a Global Distribution System (GDS) or directly from the relevant Suppliers via an Application Programming Interface (API).
    5. Whilst every effort is made to ensure that our Website is updated in order to take into account any travel restrictions that may be imposed from time to time, it may be possible that there is a delay in the GDS or Supplier system updating which may result in inaccuracies at the time of booking. We will not be responsible for any errors/inaccuracies where such information is sourced directly from the GDS or Supplier systems and Investec Travel shall not be liable for any losses which may result therefrom.
  2. The Investec Travel Consultants
    1. The Investec Travel consultants can assist you in booking available Supplier Products advertised on the Website as well as with a wide range of flights, accommodation, car hire and travel packages tailored to your needs.
    2. Any cancellations or changes to bookings of Supplier Products either made by you via the Website or with the assistance of the Investec Travel consultants must be made through the Investec Travel consultants. All travel enquiries, compliments or complaints should be directed to the Investec Travel consultants.

3. Investec Travel Fees and Charges
  1. The Investec Travel fees and charges specified below (“Investec Charges”) will be charged in addition to the Supplier Product prices and any Supplier specific fees and charges (“Supplier Charges”).
  2. Investec Charges and Supplier Charges (unless otherwise agreed) will be debited directly from your nominated Investec Visa credit card. Investec Charges are not refundable.
    1. Booking Fees:
      Booking fees will be charged for purchases of flights made with Airline Partners or other airlines made either through the Website or through contacting an Investec Travel consultant. One booking fee per passenger will be charged irrespective of the number of flights purchased as part of that booking.
    2. Change Fees:
      You will be charged a change fee for certain changes to confirmed bookings of Supplier Products made through the Investec Travel consultants.
    3. Request for Refund fees:
      Where you request a cancellation of a confirmed booking for flights with an Airline Partner or other airline where the booking has been made either through the Website or through contacting an Investec Travel consultant and the tickets have been issued, you will be charged a request for refund fee.
  3. Current Investec Charges:
    1. Below are our current Investec Charges. We may amend our Investec Charges upon reasonable notice to you.
    2. ‘Online’ bookings are those made through the Website and ‘Offline’ bookings are those made through an Investec Travel consultant.

4. Personal Information
  1. The processing of your personal information and the personal information of your travel companion/s provided to Investec Travel is subject to the provisions of the Investec Data Protection Statement. By submitting any personal information to Investec Travel you agree to the provisions of our Data Protection Statement which can be accessed at https://www.investec.com/en_za/legal/data-protection-statement.html
  2. Where you provide us with personal information of your travel companion/s you confirm that you have obtained consent from such travel companion/s to share their personal information with us for purposes of an enquiry relating to a Supplier Product. Where your travel companion is a minor, you confirm that you as guardian, or that the guardian of such minor, has given the appropriate consent in relation to such minor’s personal information.
  3. Where Investec Travel makes enquiries or bookings with our Suppliers on your behalf and/or on behalf of your travel companion/s, Investec Travel will be required to provide such Suppliers with your and your travel companion/’s personal information.
  4. By instructing Investec Travel to make an enquiry and/or booking on your behalf and/or on behalf of your travel companion/s behalf you expressly consent and where applicable, you confirm that your travel companions have expressly consented to us providing such personal information to the relevant Suppliers for purposes of making the relevant enquiries and/or bookings. You acknowledge that once personal information is provided to a Supplier such personal information will be processed by the relevant Supplier in accordance with such Supplier’s own data processing statement / policies. Investec Travel will have no control over the processing of personal information once it has been provided to the relevant Supplier.
5. Investec Travel Partners
  1. Investec Travel Airline Partners
    1. Investec Travel holds relationships with certain airline Suppliers (“Airline Partners”) and is able to facilitate the purchase of Supplier Products from such Airline Partners and further, offer you certain benefits including preferential airfares (“Airline Partner Benefits”).
    2. To take advantage of the Airline Partner Benefits, all bookings must be reserved with tickets issued through Investec Travel and full payment must be made to the relevant Airline Partner with a valid Investec Visa credit card.
    3. Airline Partner tickets are non-transferable, non-endorsable and may be non-refundable depending on the class of ticket issued.
    4. Discounts apply to the Airline Partner ticket price only, excluding airport taxes, surcharges, levies and VAT, unless otherwise indicated. Discounts apply to adult, child and infant tickets, unless otherwise indicated and to leisure or business bookings, again, unless otherwise indicated.
    5. Airline Partner Benefits are valid for one-way or round-trip travel provided travel originates from specified airports. Any deviations or changes in routing made at your request after ticketing will be for your own account.
    6. Electronic tickets will be issued for all itineraries.
    7. Multiple Airline Partner Benefits may be booked and used but may not be combinable with an Airline Partner’s other offers.
    8. Airline Partner Benefits may generally be redeemed multiple times, subject to specific Airline Partner limitations.
    9. The Airline Partner Benefits offered are subject to change or may be cancelled without notice by the relevant Airline Partner.
    10. To qualify for Airline Partner Benefits, all travel must be completed on flights operated by the relevant Airline Partner, unless otherwise noted. Airline Partner seat allocations and destinations may be limited on specific Airline Partner airlines and departures and are subject to availability.
    11. All Airline Partner tickets will be subject to all government fees, taxes and other charges which must be paid at the time of ticketing with a valid Investec Visa credit card.
    12. If a conflict exists between the terms set out in this clause 1 and the Airline Partners’ Service Terms , the Airline Partners’ Service Terms will prevail to the extent of the inconsistency.
    13. An Investec Travel consultant can be contacted for additional Airline Partner Benefit details and relevant terms and conditions.
    14. If a booking is made through Investec Travel with a Supplier that is not an Airline Partner, then Investec Travel will offer rates negotiated by Investec Travel and/or those available to Investec Travel in the GDS.
  2. Investec Travel Other Partners
    1. Investec Travel holds relationships with numerous Suppliers including hotels, tour operators and car hire suppliers (“Other Partners”) and is able to facilitate the purchase of Supplier Products form such Other Partners and can further offer you certain benefits including preferential rates and exclusive benefits relating to such Supplier Products (“Other Partner Benefits”).
    2. To take advantage of the Other Partner Benefits you must book through Investec Travel and must reserve and pay in full for reservations, including deposits and final payment, with a valid Investec Visa credit card.
    3. Other Partner Benefits are subject to availability and are subject to change or cancellation without notice. Other Partner Benefits may be limited to specific room types and may vary by Supplier.
    4. Room upgrades and programme amenities are based on availability at time of arrival unless otherwise noted. Room upgrades are offered only for designated hotels and room categories and individual hotel participation may be withdrawn without notice. Upgrades may not apply to suite bookings.
    5. Hotel and resort loyalty benefits may not apply to tour operator bookings made through Investec Travel. Multiple Investec Travel benefits provided by Investec Travel may be booked, but such benefits may not be combinable with the relevant Supplier’s other offers. Benefits may generally be redeemed multiple times, subject to specific Supplier limitations or unless limits are noted and are valid on new bookings only.
    6. Other Partners and Other Partner Benefits are subject to change or may be cancelled without notice. Blackout dates and additional terms and conditions may apply.
    7. If a conflict exists between clause 2 of these Terms and Conditions, and the relevant Other Partner’s Service Terms, the Other Partner Service Terms will prevail to the extent of the inconsistency.
    8. An Investec Travel consultant can be contacted for additional Other Partner Benefit details and relevant terms and conditions.
    9. Other Partner Benefits in the form of preferential rates apply to leisure or business bookings, unless otherwise indicated. If a booking is made through Investec Travel with a Supplier that is not an Other Partner then Investec Travel will offer rates negotiated by Investec Travel and/or those available to Investec Travel.
6. Investec Travel payment options
  1. Payment can be made in either Investec Rewards points or Rands or a combination of Investec Rewards points and Rands.
  2. You may not split your payment between more than one Investec Rewards account or Investec Visa credit card.
  3. Full payment for your purchase will be debited from your nominated Investec Visa credit card. Your Rewards redemption request will then be processed and your account will be credited with a travel redemption rebate within two to three business days.
  4. Payment in Investec Rewards points must be made from your Investec Rewards account.
  5. Payment in Rands must be made from an Investec Visa credit card. No debit cards or payments from other bank credit cards or accounts are accepted.
7. Investec Travel Offer and Acceptance
  1. You acknowledge that advertising and placing Supplier Products on the Website or through the Investec Travel consultants or quoting the price of Supplier Products does not constitute an offer to purchase by Investec Travel.
  2. Where a booking is made via an Investec Travel consultant your acceptance of our final quotation for any Supplier Products shall constitute your offer to purchase. Acceptance of your offer will be communicated to you in writing (including via email), telephonically or in person.
  3. Where a booking is made via the Website, confirmation of your booking on the Website shall constitute your offer to purchase. Acceptance of your offer will be communicated to you in writing via email.
  4. Notwithstanding any other terms and conditions contained in any other document, your offer will only be accepted once your booking has been made and confirmed and payment has been received by the relevant Supplier for the booking.
  5. We retain the right to accept or reject your offer in our sole discretion.
  6. The relevant Supplier’s Service Terms will apply to your travel booking. It is your responsibility to ensure that you are fully aware of the relevant Supplier’s Service Terms.
  7. If you make a booking via the Website, we will summarise in an online confirmation form the details of those Supplier Products which you have selected to purchase, as well as your selected payment option. You will be requested on the aforesaid online confirmation form to confirm your acceptance of these Terms and Conditions by clicking on the space provided. Once you have confirmed your acceptance of these Terms and Conditions, you will be required to click on the ‘Pay Now’ button. Only once you have clicked on the Pay Now button will your booking be reserved and purchased simultaneously.
  8. Since all Supplier Products are provided by our Suppliers, Investec Travel does not, subject to the provisions of the Consumer Protection Act, if and to the extent applicable, accept liability for any actions, errors or omissions on the part of any Suppliers and/or any other service providers, who are governed by their respective rules, regulations and Service Terms.
  9. You acknowledge that certain Suppliers may require you and your travel companion/s to sign their liability waiver and additional terms and conditions prior to participating in the relevant Supplier Product. You understand that any violation of such Supplier’s terms and conditions may result in cancellation of any reservations, you and/or your travel companion/s being denied access to the applicable Supplier Product,  you and your travel companion/s forfeiting any monies paid for such reservation/s, and/or  debiting your Investec Visa credit card and/or holding you liable for any costs we incur as a result of such violation.
8. Cancellations Charges and Refunds
  1. Refunds can only be claimed from Suppliers. Investec Travel will facilitate the refund process.
  2. All refunds, including refunds occasioned by change requests or cancellations, are dependent on the Supplier’s refund policy and Service Terms, which may include cancellation fees, administration fees or denial of application.
  3. All requests for refunds, cancellations or changes to an already booked Supplier Product must be directed to an Investec Travel consultant. No cancellations or change requests can be requested or effected via the Website or directed to the relevant Supplier directly.
  4. Investec Travel will charge request for refund fee and change fees for all permitted changes and cancellations of partially or fully paid-up bookings. These fees are charged to cover the administration costs for making the changes or requesting the refund and accordingly these fees are in addition to any Supplier fees that may be applicable. Deposits paid may not be refundable and our booking fees are not refundable. For further information concerning our fees and charges, please refer to the Investec Travel Fees and Charges as set out in clause 3.
  5. If any refund is due to you, any Rand balance will be credited to the Investec Visa credit card you used to pay for the Supplier Product.
  6. We are unable to process any refunds should you have made a mistake relating to the details of your purchased Supplier Product whether booked through the Website or through an Investec Travel consultant.
  7. Website errors made by you allocating the incorrect amounts to your Investec Rewards account and Investec Visa credit card cannot be reversed. Assisting you in correcting any other Website booking errors will be in the sole discretion of the Investec Travel consultants after taking the relevant Suppliers’ Service Terms into account.
  8. If you wish to cancel your booking and request a refund due to medical reasons, the relevant Supplier will require a medical report from your doctor providing reasons for why you or your travel companion/s are not fit to travel. The relevant Supplier’s Service Terms will determine whether you are entitled to a cancellation and refund.
  9. Refunds for airfares can take between 1 week and 8 weeks and in exceptional cases, even longer to process. Other refunds are dependent on the relevant Supplier and can take up to 8 weeks and in exceptional cases, even longer to process.
  10. In circumstances where we have made payment on your behalf to a Supplier, we cannot refund you until the relevant Supplier has refunded us. Once we have received the refund from the relevant Supplier we will refund you immediately and send you written confirmation of the refund.
9. Travel Risk and Insurance
  1. You agree that all activities associated with Supplier Products are undertaken at your own risk.
  2. Although most travel, including travel to international destinations, is completed without any serious incidents, certain travel destinations, products and services may involve greater risks than others. It is your and your travel companion/s’ sole responsibility to research and ascertain the risk associated with certain travel destinations, products and services, including: the method of travel, travel routes, travel itineraries, travel experiences and travel destinations. By advertising Supplier Products, we do not represent or warrant that such Supplier Products are advisable or without risk, and accordingly we shall not be liable, subject to the provisions of the Consumer Protection Act, if and to the extent applicable, for damages or losses that may result therefrom.
  3. Investec Travel shall not be liable for losses suffered as a result of any operational changes, cancellations and border restrictions or any consequential damages incurred by you, or any of your travel companion/s under the relevant booking in the event that flights are not able to operate as planned, including as a result of any disruptions, cancellations or changes to planned schedules.  Please note that in the event that a flight is disrupted or cancelled due to travel restrictions being imposed, the relevant Airline Partner will have its own policy which will apply.
  4. Travel insurance is available through Investec Travel. Certain of the Supplier Products available through Investec Travel include travel insurance where specified. However, it is your sole responsibility to ascertain and determine whether you will require any travel insurance. We recommend that you consider obtaining comprehensive travel insurance and that you seek appropriate advice from an authorised financial services provider in this regard.
10. Currency Fluctuations
  1. Prices of Supplier Products that have an international element are subject to currency fluctuations.
  2. All prices quoted on the Website or by an Investec Travel consultant and/or prices specified in on our travel confirmation forms, are quoted subject to such currency fluctuations. If any price increases due to currency fluctuations, from the time of such quote or specification until such time as we have received payment from you, we reserve the right to charge you the actual price as increased by currency fluctuations. For the avoidance of doubt, it is recorded that we reserve the right to charge you the increased price for the Supplier Product, notwithstanding the fact that you have already signed or confirmed acceptance of the travel confirmation form or confirmed via the Website or through an Investec Travel consultant.
  3. We will however first request your permission to deduct from your Investec Visa credit card such Supplier Product’s increased price and should you omit or refuse to provide us with the required consent, then we will not proceed to book the Supplier Product on your behalf.
11. Unscheduled Extensions

In the unlikely event of there being an unscheduled extension or variation to a Supplier Product caused by flight delays, bad weather, strikes, technical difficulties, communication breakdowns, your or your travel companion/s’ actions and/or omissions (irrespective of whether such conduct is negligent or not) and/or any other cause which is beyond our control, Investec Travel will not be liable for any expenses relating thereto, including but not limited to hotel accommodation and flights.

12. Valid Travel Documents and Travel Restrictions
  1. It is your responsibility to ensure that you and your travel companion/s are in possession of valid passports for the duration of your trip. Some destinations require that passports are to be valid for a certain length of time; in general, 6 (six) months after completion of travel. You may also be required to obtain a visa, health certificates or any other travel related documents for some destinations, even as a transit passenger, prior to departure, and it is your responsibility to do so.
  2. For information on passport, visa requirements, health certificates, vaccinations or any other travel related documents and requirements, you should contact the relevant embassy, high commission or consulate of the country to which you will be travelling or alternatively contact an Investec Travel consultant for further assistance, prior to and at the time that you are making a booking via Investec Travel.
  3. If you are not travelling immediately after making the booking, then you should contact the same relevant aforesaid bodies timeously before you commence your travel to ensure that the requirements which are applicable to you and your travel companion/s have not changed and that you and your travel companion/s’ travel documents remain valid for all flights, destinations and planned stopovers.
  4. A failure to travel with the correct documentation could result in you and/or your travel companion/s being refused travel, entry to the country of your destination or stop-over, deportation or incarceration and in such circumstance/s you and your travel companion/s shall not hold Investec Travel liable for any costs, claims, consequences or damages suffered of whatsoever nature, arising from your and/or your relevant travel companion/s’ failure/omission to ensure that you and/or your travel companion/s has complied with all travel documentation requirements. You fully indemnify us against all claims by any person, including your relevant travel companion/s, for all damages, fines, penalties, causes of action, costs (including all legal fees on an attorney and own client scale), resulting from your and/or your travel companion/s’ failure/omission to ensure that you and/or your travel companion/s have complied with all travel documentation requirements.
  5. Regulation 6 of the Immigration Act requires the following documentation in respect of children travelling:
  6. Where parents are travelling with a child they must produce an unabridged birth certificate of the child reflecting the particulars of the parents of the child. In the case of one parent travelling with a child, he or she must produce (i) an unabridged birth certificate and consent in the form of an affidavit from the other parent registered as a parent on the birth certificate of the child authorising him or her to enter into or depart from the Republic with the child he or she is travelling with (ii) a court order granting full parental responsibilities and rights or legal guardianship in respect of the child, if he or she is the parent or legal guardian of the child or (iii) where applicable, a death certificate of the other parent registered as a parent of the child on the birth certificate.
  7. Where a person is travelling with a child who is not his or her biological child, he or she must produce a copy of the unabridged birth certificate of the child, an affidavit from the parents or legal guardian of the child confirming that he or she has permission to travel with the child, copies of the identity documents or passports of the parents or legal guardian of the child and the contact details of the parents or legal guardian of the child.
  8. Any unaccompanied minor shall produce to the immigration officer proof of consent from one of or both his or her parents or legal guardian, as the case may be, in the form of a letter or affidavit for the child to travel into or depart from the Republic: Provided that in the case where one parent provides proof of consent, that parent must also provide a copy of a court order issued to him or her in terms of which he or she has been granted full parental responsibilities and rights in respect of the child, a letter from the person who is to receive the child in the Republic, containing his or her residential address and contact details in the Republic where the child will be residing,; a copy of the identity document or valid passport and visa or permanent residence permit of the person who is to receive the child in the Republic and the contact details of the parents or legal guardian of the child.
  9. By proceeding to book a flight, you confirm that you have checked that there are no travel restrictions in the relevant countries of departure, transit and arrival which may affect your booking and that you have satisfied yourself on behalf of all travel companion/s under the booking that you can proceed.
  10. You further confirm that you have checked the entry requirements of your destination.
13. Supplier Product specific terms and conditions

The following specific terms and conditions will apply to the purchase of certain types of Supplier Products. The specific Supplier’s Service Terms, will prevail to the extent that they conflict with these Supplier Product specific terms and conditions:

  1. Hotels/ accommodation establishments
    1. No Investec Travel booking fees apply.
    2. Hotel/accommodation bookings may be for either business or leisure purposes.
    3. All rates and availability of accommodation quoted are subject to change without notice.
    4. Rates quoted are on a per person per night sharing basis and are for accommodation only, unless specifically stated otherwise. Additional single supplements may apply.
    5. The meal plan will be indicated on your quotation or travel confirmation form. B&B denotes ‘Bed and Breakfast’. DBB denotes ‘Dinner, Bed and Breakfast’. FB denotes ‘Full Board’ which includes Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. AI denotes “All Inclusive’ and includes Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner and selected drinks as specified by the establishment.
    6. Rates quoted are not available for groups or conferences.
    7. Hotels and establishments providing accommodation and buildings in the vicinity thereof undergo renovations from time to time which may impact on your enjoyment of the accommodation. We are not responsible or liable for any compensation or damages that you or your travel companion/s may suffer due to renovations or construction taking place while resident at the hotel or establishment.
  2. Car hire
    1. You can make a booking for car hire with our Suppliers using your Investec Visa credit card only.
    2. The rental of cars may be for either business or leisure purposes.
    3. There are no restrictions on the number of rentals you can make.
    4. No Investec Travel booking fees apply.
    5. Car rental rates are subject to change without any notice to you.
    6. Only the type and class of vehicle can be specified upon booking. The Supplier and booking detail will be confirmed via SMS and email within an hour of confirming payment details.
    7. When renting a car, you will be required to sign a rental agreement with the relevant Supplier.
    8. It is your responsibility to select the relevant insurance option offered by the Supplier. Investec Travel shall not be liable for any loss you may suffer resulting from insufficient cover.
    9. To request an extension of the rental period, Investec Travel will require at least 24 hours’ notice prior to the return date to process the extension with the relevant Supplier on your behalf.
    10. To cancel the rental agreement with the relevant Supplier before the return date you must return the car to the relevant Supplier. All amounts owing at the time, will automatically be debited from your Investec Visa credit card used to make the booking.
    11. Cancellation fees apply and will be confirmed by the relevant Supplier.
    12. During the rental period, the car can only be driven by the nominated driver and/or the additional driver/s as recorded on the rental form.
    13. The renter and/or driver and/or additional driver all agree to pay to the Supplier all charges and fees payable as per the rental agreement or any official quote. The renter, driver or additional driver agrees to pay all fines, penalties, toll tariffs and like expenses.
    14. All rates include VAT and either standard or super waiver cover as elected by you.
    15. You will be required to provide a valid identity document, a valid driver’s licence and a valid credit card on collection of the hired car.
  3. Airlines
    1. Airfares are subject to availability and fare increases without notice.
    2. Airline bookings may be for either business or leisure purposes.
    3. Bookings for tickets must be in your and your travel companion/s’ names and surnames as reflected in your and your companion/s’ passports (or identity documents for local travel bookings). Once a booking is confirmed, name changes (spelling or full name) are not allowed, unless otherwise specified and may incur a fee in such instances. Where name changes are not permitted, a new ticket will have to be purchased and cancellation penalties will apply to the original ticket purchased.
    4. If your ticket is refundable, an Investec Travel request for refund fee and possible Supplier cancellation fee will be charged if a flight is cancelled before departure. Flights cancelled or unused after departure are non-refundable.
    5. If you do not arrive for your flight, your full ticket will be forfeited (changes must be made at least 8 hours prior to departure).
    6. If changes are permitted on your ticket, the change is subject to the original fare class availability, if available at the time of change. Re-routes are permitted on certain tickets, subject to the Airline Partner’s rules.
    7. Upgrades to a higher fare class are permitted on some tickets. Standard change penalties will apply, subject to airline rules.
    8. Changes to booked air tickets may result in increased fares, charges and costs, and may, subject to the provisions of the Consumer Protection Act, if and to the extent applicable, be as much as 100% of the initial fare, charge and/or cost. All changes will incur an Investec Travel change fee and may incur a Supplier change fee.
    9. All domestic fares quoted include VAT, airport taxes, security tax, fuel surcharges and the booking fee (if applicable).
    10. All international fares quoted exclude VAT, but include airport taxes, security tax, fuel surcharges and the booking fee.
    11. Once your air ticket has been issued, the specific airline rules will apply.
    12. All Airline Partner check-in times are subject to the specific airline rules.
    13. Each Airline Partner applies its own standard policies regarding the number of pieces of luggage and the weight/mass restrictions applicable thereto per passenger. It will be your and/or your travel companion/s’ sole responsibility to enquire as to the particular Airline Partner’s policies. In the event that you and/or your travel companion/s exceed the luggage limit stipulated, any further expense incurred as a result thereof will be for your own account.
    14. Our Website does not facilitate pre-flight seat allocations. Once you have booked an air ticket via the Website, you may, if available, follow the link on the Website to the relevant Airline Partner’s website or contact its call centre, to pre-book your required seats. You will need the reference number which is the Website generated number upon your purchase of the air ticket to pre-book a seat. Pre-seating may incur additional fees which are levied by the relevant Airline Partner.
  4. Travel Packages
    1. Supplier Products in the form of travel packages are pre-packaged through our Suppliers who are tour operators. The travel packages quoted are subject to availability, fare increases and Supplier Terms of Service.
    2. All changes/cancellations will incur costs, which may, subject to the provisions of the Consumer Protection Act, if and to the extent applicable, be as much as 100%.
    3. Your travel documentation will expressly specify what is included in the relevant travel package. All other costs, notwithstanding such additional costs being associated directly or indirectly with the relevant travel package, shall be for your account.
    4. The relevant Supplier Product shall only be for use by you or such other person/s designated by you upon purchasing the travel package and shall not be ceded, sold, bartered or in any way whatsoever be transferred to any other person. The travel package or any unused component thereof shall not be redeemed for cash or kind or in any way whatsoever.

  1. Investec Travel aims to ensure that all complaints received are investigated fairly, fully, promptly and in accordance with any applicable regulatory requirements.
